So, now what do we do? We asked the Honda dealer and he was not sympathetic at all. Now a Michellin dealer told me that Michellin has stopped using the Pak tires and have told them not to buy all the extra equipment to service them. When we need new tires we cannot just go out and buy a Michellin tire as it will not fit the Honda - only pak tire Michellin can be bought at three times what a regular Michellin can be bought because of the labor of putting them on. This sounded wonderful, but they did not tell us that if we had a flat we would have to go to a Honda dealer to get it fixed at a price of $350 because it takes four hours for one tire. When we got it we were told \"you have a special system whereby if you have a flat you can drive 50 more miles\". We are leasing a Honda van that has this Pak tire system on it. I would like to continue buying Honda products however if this is not settled in a fair way I will change automobile brands. This is not honest business representation. I was told point blank that $800 was the cost. Nor did he tell me of the replacement at 50% milage of other tires. Now at 23,809 miles my tires need replacing and I find out that $2400 is the cost. He also made a point that any tire dealer could replace them. He gave me a $180 to $200 cost to replace a set, with a max cost of not more than $800. I proceeded to ask him questions about the cost and who could service the tires. Well I did call to find out that at that time of the evening all tire dealers were closed. I asked the cost of replacing the tires and he handed me the phone book and said call a tire dealer and get an estimate. When purchasing at 8:00PM I point blank ask if there were any items that were unique in maintaining the Odyssey van.The salesman assured me that there were no items except thevan had special tires.
